Ruanda, more properly known as Kinyarwanda, is an important language of east-central Africa. It is spoken by virtually everyone in the republic of Rwanda (about 8 million people), and by perhaps 4 million more in neighboring Zaire. Ruanda is one of the Bantu languages. Rwanda is spoken/used in the following countries: Congo (Zaire), Rwanda. Language Family Family: Niger-Congo At the Kigali Maternity Hospital a mother was highly con-gratulated for having given birth to a child breaking the record in weight for this maternity hospital. The child weighed at birth 4 kilos, 400 grams. It is the first baby born in the Kigali Maternity Hospital to weigh that much. |
