Caribbean Creole English is a general name for the English-based creoles of the Caribbean, spoken in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Barbados, Belize, the Bahamas, and other islands.
These creoles developed on plantations in the 17th and 18th centuries among enslaved Africans. Jamaican Patois is the best known.
