Anyin language is spoken primarily in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and Ghana in West Africa.
The Anyi (or Agni) people belong to the larger Akan ethnic group.Origins: Their roots trace back to the ancient state of Bonoman in modern-day Ghana.Migration: During the 17th and 18th centuries (and starting around the 16th century), regional pressures and conflicts with the Asante (Ashanti) caused groups to move westward into the forest zones of southeastern Côte d'Ivoire.Kingdoms: The Anyi established prominent historical kingdoms in the region, including Sanwi, Indénié, and Moronou.
