Lezgin is spoken in Russia, in southern Dagestan, and in northern Azerbaijan.
Lezgin is a Northeast Caucasian (Nakh-Dagestanian) language with about 600,000 speakers, divided roughly between Russia and Azerbaijan. It is one of the literary languages of Dagestan and is written in the Cyrillic alphabet. It has a very rich system of noun cases, with about 18 cases, many of them indicating location.
