The Afro-Roman language (historically and most commonly known as African Romance, African Latin, or Afroromance) is an extinct language that is not natively spoken in any country today.
Historically, it was spoken across the coastal Mediterranean provinces of Roman North Africa. Geographically, its former territory spans across what are now modern-day Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, and Morocco.
