Language Information
Masa (Masana) is spoken in southwestern Chad and northern Cameroon, along the Logone River.
Although older lists place it with the Niger-Congo languages, Masa is a Chadic language of the Afro-Asiatic family, related to Hausa. It has about 200,000 to 300,000 speakers. The Masa are cattle herders and farmers.
