Dardic is a group of Indo-Aryan languages of the northwest, including Kashmiri, Shina, Khowar, Kohistani, and Pashai. Kashmiri, with about 7 million speakers, is the largest. Many Dardic languages are spoken in remote mountain valleys of the Hindu Kush and Karakoram.
