Dvorak
Language Information
Dvorak refers to the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard, an alternative layout for typewriter and computer keyboards used worldwide as an option to the standard QWERTY layout.
It was patented in 1936 by August Dvorak, an American educational psychologist, and his brother-in-law William Dealey. It places the most common English letters on the home row to reduce finger movement. Versions have also been made for other languages, and it is built into most computer operating systems.
