Bribri is spoken in southern Costa Rica, in the Talamanca region, and in northwestern Panama.
Bribri is a Chibchan language with about 7,000 to 10,000 speakers. It is a tonal language. The Bribri live in and around the Talamanca Indigenous Reserve and are known for their cacao growing.
