Ɛgɛ ni modudu acɛ kɛcɛ nya bɛcɛ ɛhehi aa ,hibi ɛgɔ ma acɛ duu jonjilɛ ipu kocɛgba nɔcɛ cɛgba mɛml’ojonjilɛ ipu ɔdah ni yabɔ ɔcɛ nya. Odudu acɛ kwu ŋwule ml’ohili otu mɛml’ocai kɛla jɔcɛ ɔha ni yipu ɔtu ɔcɛ aa, higbɔ ma ɔcɛ higbo yɔda mɛml’ ɔmpa gunu lɛ bɔinɛ nu ma.

English translation

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
