Khakass

Language Information

Khakass is spoken in Russia, in the Republic of Khakassia in southern Siberia.
Khakass is a Siberian Turkic language with about 40,000 speakers. The Khakass were traditionally herders, and the region is known for its ancient burial mounds and stone statues.
