Kiga (Rukiga) is spoken in southwestern Uganda, in the Kabale and Kisoro districts, and in neighboring northern Rwanda.
Kiga is a Bantu language closely related to Nyankore, with about 2 million or more speakers. The Kiga live in a hilly, densely populated region of terraced farms.
