Ladin

Language Information

Ladin is spoken in northern Italy, in the valleys of the Dolomite mountains (Val Gardena, Val Badia, Val di Fassa, Livinallongo, and Ampezzo).
Ladin is a Rhaeto-Romance language, related to Romansh and Friulian, with about 30,000 speakers. It is officially recognized in the provinces of Bolzano and Trento, where it is taught in schools.
