Nanai

Language Information

Nanai is spoken in Russia, along the Amur River in Khabarovsk Krai, and in northeastern China (where the people are called Hezhe).
Nanai is a Southern Tungusic language. It is endangered, with about 1,000 speakers, mostly elderly. The Nanai were traditionally fishermen and were known for making clothes from fish skin.

English translation

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
