Language Information

Nyamwezi is spoken in west-central Tanzania, around Tabora.
Nyamwezi is a Bantu language closely related to Sukuma, with about 1 to 1.5 million speakers. The Nyamwezi were famous long-distance caravan traders in the 19th century.
