Police Motu (Hiri Motu) is spoken in Papua New Guinea, mainly in the south, including Port Moresby.
Hiri Motu is a pidgin based on Motu, named after the traditional hiri trading voyages of the Motu people. It spread through its use by the colonial police force. It is one of the official languages of Papua New Guinea, but it is gradually being replaced by Tok Pisin.
