Shoshoni is spoken in the United States, in Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming (on the Wind River Reservation).
Shoshoni is a Uto-Aztecan language of the Numic group, closely related to Comanche. It has about 1,000 speakers, most of them older adults. Sacagawea, who guided Lewis and Clark, was Shoshone.
