Teda is spoken in northern Chad (the Tibesti mountains), northeastern Niger, and southern Libya.
Teda (Tedaga) is a Saharan language of the Nilo-Saharan family, closely related to Daza; together they are called Tebu (Toubou), with several hundred thousand speakers. The Tebu are nomadic herders of the central Sahara.
