Language Information

Vai is spoken in northwestern Liberia and southeastern Sierra Leone.
Vai is a Mande language with about 100,000 or more speakers. It is famous for the Vai syllabary, created around 1833 by Momolu Duwalu Bukele, one of the few writing systems invented in Africa.

English translation
