Choctaw to and from English Dictionary (717 Pages)

Edited by John Swanton and submitted to the Bureau of Ethnology on April 22, 1909. It has been the standard for the Choctaw language.This dictionary is a "must-have" for any serious language learner. The Choctaw Language Department is currently updating the Dictionary standardizing the alphabet.The project is estimated to take five years. No words are being deleted, however a new pronunciation guide will be added eliminating the Swanton symbols. While this work is being done, the original dictionary will continue to be available.
