Language Information

Oromo is spoken in Ethiopia, mainly in the Oromia region, which covers much of the center, south, and west of the country, and in northern Kenya.
Oromo (Afaan Oromoo) is a Cushitic language with about 40 million speakers, making it the most widely spoken language of Ethiopia and one of the largest languages in Africa. It was formerly called Galla, a term now considered offensive. Since 1991 it has been written in a Roman-based alphabet called Qubee.

Namooti hundinuu birmaduu ta'anii mirgaa fi ulfinaanis wal-qixxee ta'anii dhalatan. Sammuu fi qalbii ittiin yaadan waan uumamaan kennameef, hafuura obbolummaatiin walii-wajjin jiraachuu qabu.

English translation
