Limba is spoken in northern Sierra Leone and in neighboring parts of Guinea.
Limba is usually classed as a West Atlantic language, though it is quite distinct from its relatives. It has about 400,000 speakers and is one of the major languages of Sierra Leone. The Limba are among the oldest inhabitants of the country.
