Sara is spoken in southern Chad, around Sarh and Moundou, and in the northern Central African Republic.
Sara is a group of closely related Central Sudanic languages, including Ngambay, Mbay, and Sar, with over 1.5 million speakers in all. The Sara are the largest ethnic group of Chad.
