Kekchi (Q'eqchi') is spoken in Guatemala, mainly in the Alta Verapaz region, and in southern Belize.
Kekchi is a Mayan language with about 1 million speakers, one of the largest Mayan languages. It is still spreading as speakers move into new lowland areas.
