Taki-Taki (Sranan Tongo) is spoken in Suriname, where it is the common language of the whole country, and by Surinamese in the Netherlands.
Sranan Tongo is an English-based creole with many Dutch and Portuguese words. It developed among enslaved Africans on Suriname's plantations. It is the first language of several hundred thousand people and a second language for most others in Suriname.
