Ambo
Language Information
The Ambo language (also known as Ovambo or Oshiwambo) is primarily spoken in Namibia and Angola.(Note: There is also a distinct, unrelated minority Ambo language spoken by a tiny community in Taraba State, Nigeria, but "Ambo" most commonly refers to the major ethnolinguistic group and language cluster of Southern Africa).
Spoken by an estimated 1.2 million people mostly in Namibia (where it forms the largest ethnic and linguistic group) and across the northern border in southern Angola (specifically the Cunene Province).
