Dramatic satire about two small town women, a Russian immigrant (Ania BuksteinNewland) and an Israeli, whose lives collide in a maze of bureaucracy. Struggling to bury their loved ones in the town cemetery, they run up against such eccentric characters as an orthodox Jewish pothead, fumbling politician, and surgeon turned unkosher butcher. Amid religious extremism, petty power struggles, and bigotry, the two women join forces to determine their own destiny. (Shoshelet Shvarts. Israel 2006. Color.)
